Home Sweet Home is an educational service. It helps you work out what matters to you in a place to live, and it gives you a one-page report you can hand to a real estate agent of your choosing. This page says what we collect, why, who can see it, and what we never do with it. It is written to be read.
What we collect, and why
- Your answers to the assessment. These are what the report is made from. Without them there is no report.
- Your name, and a password you choose. Your name goes on your report. Your password is one of the three credentials — name, password, Report ID — that let an agent open your full report. Nobody can open it without all three, and you decide who gets them.
- Your email address, if you give one. It is optional. We use it only to send you your own copy of your report. If you leave it blank, nothing changes except that you will not receive a copy by email.
- Your phone number, if you give one. It is optional. It appears on your report so that the agent you choose can reach you. We do not call or text you.
- The usual technical records a website keeps to run — the date and time you used it, and whether a page loaded or failed. We use these to fix problems, not to follow you.
Who can see it
- You. Your one-page report is yours.
- The agent or brokerage you give your three credentials to. They can open your full report and nothing else. They cannot see any other buyer’s report.
- Shiny Penny Productions, in order to run the service and fix problems. We look at individual reports only when something has gone wrong with them.
- The companies that host the site and its database, which store the data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for anything else.
What we never do
- We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone. You are not a “lead,” and no agent receives your details unless you hand them your credentials yourself.
- We do not advertise to you, and we do not let anyone else advertise to you through the site.
- We do not contact you unless you ask us to.
- We do not use your answers to build a profile of you for any purpose other than your own report.
How long we keep it
Your report stays available for twelve months from the day you complete the assessment, so that an agent you choose later can still open it. After that it is deleted. If you want it deleted sooner, email shinypennypro@gmail.com with your name and Report ID and we will remove it within a few days.
Your choices
You can leave the email and phone fields blank. You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by email at any time. You can take the assessment again whenever you like; each report is separate.
Children
The site is for adults looking for a home. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and anything that affects what we collect or who can see it will be said plainly here.
